Shellac

The starting raw material for our wide range of shellac grades is always a resinous substance obtained from the excretions of the lacquer scale insect Kerria lacca. The product is available in various shades both waxed and dewaxed.

Shellac is used as a coating agent in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, and also in furniture polishes.
